Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson Continue Career Momentums With Multiple Grammy Nominations

Tyler Childers, Miley Cyrus and more made the final ballot for multiple awards.

Jelly Roll's fairy tale year continued on Friday (Nov. 10) when he was announced as a nominee for Best New Artist, one of the Grammy's top awards. In addition, he shares a Best Country Duo/Group Performance nomination with Lainey Wilson for their version of "Save Me." Wilson's Bell Bottom Country is up for Best Country Album after it won comparable honors from the CMA.

The final Grammy ballots for the country categories tend to favor Americana and roots acts and less-pop-oriented mainstream artists over pop-country stars. For instance, Tyler Childers is up for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance (both for "In Your Love") as well as Best Country Album for Rustin' in the Rain. In addition, "In Your Love" is in the running for Best Music Video. Brandy Clark, Chris Stapleton, Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves and Brothers Osborne all scored multiple nominations. CMA and ACM nominee fixture Luke Combs earned just one nomination (Best Country Solo Performance for "Fast Car"), as did Morgan Wallen (Best Country Song for "Last Night").

Country legends got their names called, with a nomination apiece for Dolly Parton (Best Country Song for "The Last Thing on My Mind"), Vince Gill (Best Country Duo/Group Performance for Paul Franklin collaboration "Kissing Your Picture (It Is So Cold)"), Willie Nelson (Best Bluegrass Album for Bluegrass) and George Strait (Best Immersive Audio Album for Blue Clear Sky).

In the major categories, both Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus will vie for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Single of the Year.

The 2024 Grammy Awards will be held Feb. 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Read on for the full list of nominees in the major categories plus every category with at least one nominee associated with country, Americana or bluegrass music.
