Former Disney child actor Raquel Lee is bringing legal action against her former employer. In a lawsuit obtained by Deadline, the ex-actress claims that she was "repeatedly raped, sexually assaulted, sexually abused and sexually harassed." On the set of Disney's 2001 film, The Proof Point.

Former Child Star Sues Disney Over Assault, Negligence
Even worse, the suit also claims that the bigwigs at the film company knew about the alleged assault. And did not take any actionable steps to stop it from happening.
"Mr. Doe's sexual abuse of Ms. Boileau was apparent to the adults on Disney's set. Defendant Disney repeatedly failed Ms. Boileau. Disney facilitated and concealed Mr. Doe's severe sexual abuse of Ms. Boileau," the suit reads.
The name of the accused is not disclosed in the lawsuit. But they are described as an "adult, middle-aged, male employee of Disney. Who was involved in the filming of the movie."
The suit also points out Disney's "longstanding and horrifying history of protecting sexual abusers."
Bolleau's Attorney's Speak Out
In a statement to PEOPLE, Bolleau's attorneys, Douglas Wigdor and Jane Kim, called Disney's negligence "inexcusable." They also demanded that they be held accountable for their actions.
"Over the last decade, countless child actors have come forward to bravely share their experiences of abuse by adults in entertainment,
the statement reads. "As former government prosecutors, our message to the entertainment industry is simple. This conduct is inexcusable, and those involved — directly or indirectly — must be held accountable."
Of course, the new lawsuit led to an outpouring of reactions.
"Every studio, etc. that participated and/or participates in enabling child stardom needs to be sued and/or prosecuted," one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"No child performer should ever be placed in a situation where adults can exploit them," a second user chimed in.
"Hearing Raquel Lee step forward with this lawsuit underscores how badly Hollywood failed to protect its child stars. Hope this brings some real accountability," a third user remarked.
Lee was also a participant in the explosive 2024 series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. A true-crime docuseries that uncovers the toxic and abusive environment behind popular children's television networks in the late 1990s and early 2000s, focusing heavily on Dan Schneider's tenure at Nickelodeon. However, she later expressed her disappointment with the film.
