Trey Decloedt, 35, was arrested by Lake County Sheriff's Office deputies on August 8 following a confrontation in Leesburg the previous day.

Authorities also allege that Decloedt threatened his neighbor with a child's metal scooter as the dispute escalated.

Florida Man Arrested After Bizarre Dog Feces Dispute

The neighboring couple told local reporters that they had been involved in an ongoing dispute with Decloedt over dog feces allegedly being left around their properties.

The husband claimed that Decloedt entered his home without permission. He was holding a handful of dog feces before throwing it at him.

The confrontation then reportedly spilled outside, where the two men became involved in a physical altercation.

Decloedt allegedly punched his neighbor in the face during the scuffle.

As tensions continued to escalate, authorities claim he grabbed a child's metal scooter. He supposedly raised it above his head in what the arrest affidavit described as a "menacing posture".

When deputies arrived at the scene, they reportedly observed a red mark on the neighbor's forehead as well as animal feces outside the property.

Neighbor Dispute Leads to Multiple Charges

Decloedt provided authorities with a different account of the events leading up to his arrest.

He claimed that he initially complained to his neighbor's wife about the dog feces and that she promised to clean it up.

However, according to Decloedt, the mess remained there four hours later, leading to another confrontation between the neighbors.

He told investigators that the husband messaged him and asked him to come over to discuss the ongoing issue.

Decloedt then alleged that his neighbor "shoved him in the doorway" before the pair became involved in a fight outside the home.

Deputies later asked to enter Decloedt's property to photograph injuries he claimed to have suffered during the altercation.

However, authorities allege that he refused to let them inside before also declining orders to come out of the property.

Deputies subsequently placed Decloedt in handcuffs and arrested him over the bizarre confrontation.

Authorities charged the 35-year-old with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery, simple battery and burglary.

Decloedt posted a $16,000 bond on August 9 and was released from custody.

He is reportedly scheduled to return to court on August 31 as the case moves forward.
