First-Ever 'Cash Fest' to be Held in Nashville in November

Nashville's first-ever Cash Fest, brought to you by the Johnny Cash Trust and The Best Fest, will be held Nov. 10 at War Memorial Auditorium. The star-studded event celebrates the release of YouTube Originals documentary The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash with a star-studded lineup which includes Midland, Little Big Town, Cam, Carlene Carter and the Carter Family and a long list of country music stars and Americana singer-songwriters.

In line with Cash's rebellious reputation and his early work as a rockabilly pioneer, rock stars will also be part of the all-star lineup, highlighted by Chris Shiflett of the Foo Fighters and John Oates of Hall & Oates.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit MusiCares, an organization which helps musicians with critical assistance in times of need.

The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash, a film by Emmy Award-winning director Thom Zimny (Elvis Presley: The SearcherSpringsteen on Broadway), debuts online on Nov. 11. Per a press release, it's a film "created with the full cooperation of the Cash estate and rich in recently discovered archival materials, brings Cash the man out from behind the legend."
