Instead of racking up expenses on a lavish venue or fancy party add-ons, one Ohio couple opted for a wedding ceremony straight off the value menu.
Circling back to the site where they met, a pair of newlyweds decided to tie the knot at a McDonald's in Akron, Ohio. According to the McDonald's of Northeast Ohio Instagram page, it is the same McDonald's where the happy couple works.
"They met, work together, work here, and said, 'Hey, let's get married here! The drive-thru is still open!' the Instagram account posted.
Jamie and George Callicoat's wedding at the Golden Arches included a flower girl, decorative balloons and a small number of attendees. Hilariously, the flower girl tossed petals out of a Happy Meal box.
Stationed in front of the register were tables and food trays, hinting that the reception was also held at the fast-food restaurant.

The bizarrely romantic scene has gone viral, and social media users can't help but poke fun at the unorthodox wedding ceremony.
"McMarriage is crazy. Feel like life in 2026 is a parody," an Instagram user wrote.
"He found his McRib," a user said of the groom.
Another user replied, "The flower basket being a Happy Meal Box? I'm gagged."

Oddly enough, this is far from the first wedding reception held on fast-food restaurant grounds.
Earlier this summer, a Utah couple renewed their vows at Taco Bell.
Mickey and Jo-Ann Muhlstein, who have been married for six decades, held a wedding ceremony at the Taco Bell that they shared daily lunches at for 12 years.
In 2017, a married couple celebrated their 40th anniversary at Pizza Hut, where they also held a last-ditch wedding in 1977.
