Sometimes a shirt isn't just a shirt.

Indeed, country star Zach Bryan sported a "Free Palestine" shirt at a show last night (Oct.2) at the very same venue that booted Macklemore.
TMZ published an image of the "Burn, Burn, Burn" singer on the Jumbotron at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. In the close-up shot, the 30-year-old country star sports a black T-shirt with the words "Free Palestine" written on it in bold white letters.
TMZ added that other members of Bryan's entourage were also rocking the same shirt in a show of solidarity. While plenty of fan footage has circulated of the "Pink Skies" singer wearing the shirt, he didn't seem to comment on it during the show, simply letting the shirt speak for itself.
Bryan returns to the same stage tonight as part of his "With Heaven On Tour."
Why Zach Bryan's "Free Palestine" Shirt was Especially Meaningful at Gillette Stadium

Of course, music fans know the score when it comes to Gillette Stadium and music artists supporting Palestine. Gillette Stadium's owner, the Kraft Group, is helmed by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. The multi-billionaire was reportedly a key figure in booting rapper Macklemore from his remaining tour dates with singer Ed Sheeran on his "Loop Tour" due to his onstage pro-Palestinian rhetoric.
Macklemore shouted "Free Palestine" during performances at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sept. 4 and 5. The rapper also performed his protest anthem "Hind's Hall" while footage from Gaza played behind him, per TMZ.
The performances and onstage rhetoric led to the Israeli-American Council launching a petition against Macklemore, with multiple NFL stadium owners allegedly saying they'd bar Sheeran's future tour dates at their venues if Macklemore stayed on the bill. Sheeran's tour promoter, Messina Touring Group, announced on Sept. 14 that Macklemore was pulled from the tour.
Of course, this led to plenty of ongoing pushback from both celebrities and Sheeran's fans.
Meanwhile, Sheeran himself was set to play Gillette Stadium last weekend, but his two shows there were canceled due to severe weather.
