The drama surrounding Ed Sheeran's "Loop" tour appears to be never-ending.

Sheeran's multi-city tour was scheduled to hit Gillette Stadium this weekend — home of Robert Kraft's New England Patriots. However, those shows have now been called off, according to a Friday (September 25) report from TMZ.
Ed Sheeran's Shows at Gillette Stadium Get Axed
Sources confirmed that the two shows were called off because of potential inclement weather. Per the outlet, a "massive nor'easter storm" is set to hit New England this weekend. This would, of course, affect the conditions at the open-air stadium.
The cancellations of Friday and Saturday's performances may feel poetic or, at the very least, karmic to some Macklemore fans.
To bring things up to speed, Macklemore came under fire earlier this month after he made pro-Palestinian remarks during his set on Sheeran's tour. On September 14, it was revealed that the Thrift Shop creator had been removed from the remaining tour dates on which he was scheduled to perform.
Following the announcement, Macklemore claimed that the Patriots owner contacted Sheeran directly. According to Macklemore, Sheeran told him that Kraft would not allow the rapper to perform at Gillette Stadium.
Macklemore also claimed that Kraft contacted other NFL stadium owners where he and Sheeran were scheduled to perform. Macklemore alleged that those venues also refused to allow him to perform, ultimately leaving Sheeran's team with the choice of removing him from the affected shows or losing access to the venues.
Sheeran has since insisted that he was not involved in the decision to have Macklemore removed from the tour.
In response to his removal, Macklemore has announced his own run of shows in support of Palestinian causes.
Macklemore's "Free Palestine" tour currently consists of three dates: Dublin, Ireland, on October 26; Paris, France, on October 29; and London, England, on October 30. Proceeds from the shows will benefit organizations supporting Palestinians, according to Macklemore.
