Ingredients
- 1 lb ground duck
- 1/4 tsp Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 Tbsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
For The Sauce
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp Sriracha
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400ºF and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- In a bowl mix together the duck, panko, ginger, garlic, five-spice, and salt and pepper. Add milk and egg and mix. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil and roll meat into balls and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake meatballs until cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile make the sauce by combining the hoisin sauce, ketchup, rice vinegar, and Sriracha in a saucepan and heat to a simmer. Add the meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat.
Notes
Make your own ground duck by cutting small pieces of duck and freezing them. Once frozen, pulse in a blender or food processor until ground.
Serve with toothpicks for an appetizer.
