The country music superstar and former American Idol winner announced Wednesday via People her forthcoming fitness book Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life, out next year via Dey Street Books.

"Fitness and healthy living have been a passion of mine for years," Underwood tells People about her first book. "It took time to find my way and navigate my wellness journey, and this book will provide tips and tools to help the reader find what is practical and sustainable in his or her everyday life for all 52 weeks of the year, and help them lead a positive lifestyle."

Beyond sharing her Fit52 program and other fitness tips with readers, Underwood's new book will candidly share the country star's insecurities caused by the pressures of celebrity culture and the triumphs made possible by her common-sense approach to a healthy lifestyle. Per a press release: "Throughout Find Your Path, Carrie opens up about her personal journey towards optimal health, from her passion for sports as a kid, to the pressure to look perfect and fit the mold as she launched her career after winning American Idol, to eventually discovering the importance of balance and the meaning of true health."

The announcement of her new fitness and lifestyle book comes right before the final North American leg of Underwood's Cry Pretty Tour: a celebration of talented women featuring opening acts Runaway June and Maddie & Tae. The tour runs through Halloween night and includes a Sept. 27 stop at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

In addition, Underwood returns as one of the co-hosts for this year's CMA Awards alongside Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. The CMA Awards air Wed., Nov. 13 on ABC.
