Broadway Star Kristin Chenoweth Teams Up With Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire on New Album 'For the Girls'

On forthcoming album For the Girls, out Sept. 27, Broadway star and pop-country singer Kristin Chenoweth pays tribute to some of the great vocalists of the past 60 years with help from country and pop heavy-hitters.

A couple of country legends with ties to Broadway—Tony-nominated 9 to 5 composer Dolly Parton and Annie Get Your Gun star Reba McEntire—appear on the album, along with pop sensations Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande.

Beyond the work of country artists Parton and Patsy Cline and country moonlighters Helen Reddy and Linda Ronstadt, Chenoweth and her supporting cast honor the hits of Judy Garland, Barbara Streisand, Leslie Gore, Dinah Washington and numerous others.

Chenoweth's first country recordings and fourth album overall, 2011's Some Lessons Learned, included the Parton-penned song "Change." Chenoweth has also recorded as a jazz vocalist and a Christian and traditional pop artist.
