Carrie Underwood was the Dolly Parton to Jimmy Fallon's Kenny Rogers during Underwood's recent appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show. The pair took the stage at New York's Central Park to perform the classic Parton-Rogers duet (and killer karaoke song), "Islands in the Stream."

The duet partners seemed to love sharing the spotlight and tackling the notoriously tricky song through its various key changes. Underwood proved that she'd be a great friend to have on your side at karaoke night.

In addition to her duet with Fallon, Underwood performed "Love Wins," the latest single from her new album, live in Central Park.

Before the performance, the country music star sat down with Fallon to talk about her new album Cry Pretty, her baby-on-the-way and secretly wanting her three-year-old son to be a singer. Underwood also joined Fallon and fellow Tonight Show guests Blake Lively and Henry Golding to play a round of the "Name That Song Challenge."

Underwood released her sixth studio album, Cry Pretty, on Sept. 14. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

This month, Underwood received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, debuted her new "Sunday Night Football" theme song and released the new video for "Love Wins." The country star was also nominated for a People's Choice Award for Country Artist of 2018 and Female Artist of 2018.

Underwood also recently used her platform as one of country music's most beloved artists to shine a light on the lack of women artists played on country radio.

In November, Underwood will join co-host Brad Paisley to host the 2018 CMA Awards. This will mark the pair's 11th consecutive year hosting the award show.

In 2019, Underwood will kick off her Cry Pretty Tour 360 with opening acts Maddie and Tae and Runaway June.
