Carrie Underwood focuses on love, compassion and unity in the new video for her new single "Love Wins."
Directed by Shane Drake, the music video opens with downtrodden people walking across a post-apocalyptic earth. We see them slowly begin to come together and comfort one another before crossing over into a new land where a community of folks celebrate in a festival atmosphere while Underwood sings. It's a message to love your neighbor and to remember our humanity in times of division.
Underwood debuted the video on Sept. 11 on Apple Music.

The song itself is an anthem for kindness and understanding in divided times, addressing the horrors of gun violence and prejudice and emphasizing the power to overcome obstacles through love and empathy.
The song isn't the only track from Underwood's upcoming album with an important and timely message. "The Bullet" addresses the impact of gun violence on families and communities.
It's been an eventful month for Underwood already. Last week, she released the sultry new song "End Up With You." Just this week it was announced that the country superstar will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Sept. 20. On Friday Sept. 14, she'll release her new album Cry Pretty.
