Ever since Ron Howard's daughter Bryce Dallas Howard has been working in Hollywood, people have confused her with fellow actress Jessica Chastain. The two women, who were previously co-stars in The Help, both have red hair and similar facial features so it's no wonder that fans get confused anytime they see one of them in pics or strolling the red carpet. But apparently, even Ron Howard himself has fallen victim to a case of mistaken identity and once thought Chastain was his own daughter.
In a press conference for her film with Chris Pratt, Jurassic World, Bryce confirmed the incident that her celeb lookalike had previously shared with The Associated Press.
"Legit. And he was, like, shook. He really was."

According to Chastain, it was really just a brief encounter at an Apple Store.
"I was, like, walking by, I was like, 'Oh, that's Ron Howard,' " she remembered. "And then my friend was with me (and) said he turned to someone, he goes, 'I think I just saw Bryce.' We look so much alike."
She doesn't want the Oscar-winning filmmaker to feel bad though because apparently, it all happened very quickly and they didn't actually interact.
"I don't want him to feel like, 'I couldn't recognize my daughter,' " she said, "but, no, I literally walked by, and he was like, 'I think I saw Bryce.' "
Bryce told Entertainment Tonight that her father really felt Chastain was her doppelganger because of their similarities.
"At first he was like, 'You really look so much alike,' " she said. "And I mean, obviously, I'm incredibly flattered, so it's great. Although something is wrong when people stop mistaking me for her. I'll be like, 'Gotta get it together.' I mean, but we do resemble one another," Bryce added. "I love it."
Over the years, Bryce and Jessica have become such well-known celebrity lookalikes that Bryce even released a hilarious music video titled "I AM NOT JESSICA CHASTAIN" in 2015. She cracks jokes about their different acting roles, how she's director Ron Howard's daughter, and more. She's clearly in on the fun. She even shared it with Chastain who posted it on social media. It seems only necessary that we get these two in on a film playing sisters!
