Mitte, 34, died in Brownsville, Texas, his representatives said Monday.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte," his representatives said.

In his final social media post on Oct. 7, Mitte teased a potential continuation of Breaking Bad and said the death of Bryan Cranston's Walter White may not be the end of the series.

"I don't think it was an end; I think it was really the end of Heisenberg's journey," he said. "But I don't think that was the end of Skyler and Walt and Holly's journey. You know, I think there's a lot of unanswered questions there. That, for them, will probably never be answered."

"I think there's still a big step for the White family," he continued. "There's always more to be told. But you got to tell it right."

Although Mitte believed the series could explore more storylines, he admitted that topping Breaking Bad's success would be a tough challenge.

"I just want to top Breaking Bad, that's the hardest," he said. "That is literally said, a bar for myself as a young man that is kinda unattainable. I tell people, 'Look, it's a long way down from the top of the mountain."

Breaking Bad Co-Star Remembers RJ Mitte

Mitte, a disability rights activist, played in all five seasons of Breaking Bad.

Co-star Bryan Cranston said that he is in "deep despair" following Mitte's death.

"RJ Mitte, my sweet son on Breaking Bad, has died. I met him when he was only 14 years old. When he was cast as Walter White Jr., a part he played with such joy and enthusiasm," Cranston wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. "Born with Cerebral Palsy, he never - ever - allowed that challenge to be an excuse for anything. He met the demanding shooting schedule head-on with great determination."

Cranston also said that he is troubled by the circumstances of Mitte's death.

"It is especially devastating to hear that he took his own life," he wrote. "Why?"

The actor said he and Mitte texted a few weeks ago and tried to plan lunch.

"I don't know if that lunch would have changed his future...," Cranston wrote. "But I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series, and after the spotlight on Breaking Bad dimmed."
