On a new episode of The Rock podcast, the 57-year-old musician opened up about joining the lineup of AC/DC for a show last month was a highlight of his storied music career.

The Foo Fighters frontman joined the Australian rockers on Oct. 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The former Nirvana drummer took on the guitar and backing vocals for the group after The Pretty Reckless bowed out.

"It was so crazy because my wife was on the side of the stage as we played 'Highway to Hell,'" Grohl gushed. "I walked off stage, and I broke down in tears, sobbing like a baby.

Grohl added that the wild experience brought him "full circle."

"I was sobbing, like wailing, and I couldn't believe it. I was, like, 'That is one of the most full-circle moments of my entire life,' and I will never forget it."

He went on to call playing with AC/DC "unbelievable." Grohl also claimed the rock legends set a new benchmark...

The "Everlong" singer insisted that AC/DC had "the loudest stage I have ever stood on in my entire life."

Dave Grohl on Seeing AC/DC as a Kid: "I Wanna be That Guy"

Grohl added that he became a fan of the veteran rockers after seeing their 1980 concert film, Let There Be Rock, as a kid.

"I'd never seen someone so drenched in sweat that they needed an oxygen tank. I was, like, 'That's what I wanna be when I grow up. I wanna be that guy,'" Grohl recalled.

He also admitted to feeling like something of an imposter playing alongside his heroes.

"I pinched myself," Grohl said. "It's hard to believe because I can't; it's almost like I'm watching this happen to someone else in a weird... It's like impostor syndrome or whatever they call it; it doesn't feel real to me sometimes."

In the comments section of The Rock podcast's YouTube post of the episode, fans also marveled at Grohl getting to perform with AC/DC.

"I believe Dave is the only person to play on stage with AC/DC as a 'guest,' one fan wrote before adding, "Luckiest MF on the planet, love him."
