Wildwood Police said a video recorded by the doctor's Tesla showed a masked man in Florida leave a red pickup truck and walk toward the vehicle with a hammer. Investigators said the man struck the windshield twice before returning to the truck and leaving.

The doctor informed police that Glen Lee Ong could be a potential suspect, noting that he is a former patient who had become upset after the doctor declined to perform surgery.

When police arrived to question the 79-year-old about the incident, Ong initially denied being at the facility.

His denial fell apart when police inspected his vehicle and confirmed that his license plate matched the red truck in the video.

Senior Citizen Jailed For Destroying Tesla

Ong admitted that his two surgery cancellations fueled him to destroy the Tesla windshield.

"That guy screwed me over, twice," Ong told investigators, according to the report, adding that he wanted to "teach him a lesson."

Ong said one procedure was canceled after he drank water before surgery. He claims another was called off after he had prepared for the procedure. Ong told police he wanted to hold the doctor accountable.

The damage was estimated at approximately $1,600.

Ong was arrested on charges of criminal mischief causing at least $1,000 in damage and wearing a mask while committing a felony.

Police transported Ong to the Sumter County Detention Center without incident, WFTV reported.

"Flying cars are real," Musk said during the event.

The tech mogul added that the vehicle's "success is not guaranteed" but "it will probably work."

Musk said the car was equipped with "ultra high-pressure air tanks" to

"Turns out the future does have flying cars," Musk captioned a clip of the livestream demonstration.

The newly-designed Tesla model is expected to enter production in 2028.
