Through tears, the Anchorman actress explained how her docter recently broke the news to her.

"[My doctor] came into my room and said, 'Congratulations, you don't have MS,'" the 54-year-old recalled on the latest episode of her podcast, MeSsy.

However, Applegate had mixed emotions about the news.

"I was, like, not happy at all. Everybody else was so happy," she shared. The Married... with Children alum explained that just because she was misdiagnosed with MS, her life-changing symptoms don't go away.

"You don't get misdiagnosed and then all of a sudden I'm better," Applegate pointed out. "I haven't gotten better. If anything, I've gotten worse." The Hall Pass star emotionally added that she was "back to square one."

"That's going to be an online investigation that my doctors are going to be getting into just to find out what has been going on since 2021," she continued. "Why did this happen?"

Christina Applegate Shares Frustration Over MS Misdiagnosis: 'I'm Still in This'

A baffled Applegate went on to detail how what she thought was MS had absolutely transformed her life.

"I've gone through a great depression because of it," she candidly shared. "But I lost everything. I lost my job. What do you say to someone who's been living with this for six years— God, I'm so sorry — because it stopped my life? I still have to use wheelchairs when I go to the doctor's office."

"I can't walk from the car to the room," she continued. "I'm still in this. Nothing magical happened when she said, 'You don't have MS.' Nothing magical happened."

Applegate also felt like the revelation robbed her of a sense of community she'd felt over the past few years. Her podcast co-host, actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, suffers from MS.

"It's weird because I feel like I let everybody down. It's this weird feeling because I became this... you and I, the poster children for MS."

Now, the unanswered question of what is causing her suffering haunts her.

"I had a reason. I had a f—king reason as to why my day sucked every day. And now I don't have a reason, and it's very unnerving, and it's very confusing for me."

Applegate admitted that she was still in a "state of shock" following the news, adding that it's a "mindf—k."

The actress recently returned to her podcast after a lengthy hospital stay that reportedly began in March.
