During the Season 5 premiere of Kerry Washington's podcast, the "Justice League" star detailed the terrifying incident.
"I remember I was walking home from high school. I was 14 maybe, and I saw these two kids in like literal hoods on the other side of the street. And, you know, it's kind of one of those things where you're like, 'All right.'"
Affleck said that he watched the two kids cross the street and he initially considered running away, but tried to play it cool instead.
"They pass me, grab me, take a knife out, [and say] 'Give me your money,'" the Gone Girl actor said.
"I was scared," Affleck admitted. "But then out of the corner of my eye, I realized who they were. I recognized them from playing baseball and they were like older boys that I knew and they were like, 'Oh yeah, what's up?' And so I guess I was like, I guess I'm off the hook."
Although he was about to avoid danger, the "Argo" alum said the next victim was not as fortunate.
"And actually, that kid who robbed me ended up, I don't know three or four years later, killing somebody with a knife and going to prison for 20 years," Affleck told Washington. "So there was that, you know what I mean? And you were kind of aware of it."
Affleck, a two-time Oscar winner, didn't waste his second chance at life.
The Massachusetts native partnered with friend and fellow actor Matt Damon to write "Good Will Hunting" in 1997.
The film earned them a $300,000 check and an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
Following the success of "Good Will Hunting," Affleck worked his way into becoming a major Hollywood star with movies like "Armageddon," "Pearl Harbor," and "Daredevil."
Affleck was cast as the DCEU's Batman in 2013 and played the Gotham City crime stopper across five films.
He earned over $80 million combined for his role in "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League."
