Friday will mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on this nation. That day stands as one of the very darkest in our long history. Thousands of people lost their lives at the World Trade Center in New York, at the Pentagon, and in a plane that crashed in rural Shanksville, Pennsylvania. As this sad milestone approaches, many are solemnly looking back and recalling where they were and what they did. Among them is President Donald Trump. However, at least one person is questioning his account. That individual is one of his own family members. It's his nephew, Fred Trump. Per People, the 63-year-old is the son of Donald Trump's oldest brother.

Fred Trump Claims That the President Is Not Being Accurate
On Tuesday, September 8, in a lengthy and at times emotional post on X, Fred Trump took Donald Trump to task. Specifically, he allegedly doubts the president's claims about his actions regarding 9/11. He wrote in part, "I try not to comment personally about my uncle, but his claim that he brought a crew of workers to help at the sight [site] so offends me that I need to speak out. He was not building a 'big building' at the time. The only crew he claimed to bring to the site would have been secretarial and accounting employees from Trump Tower I knew many of them, and pretty sure they were not capable physically to help (if they could, I am sure they would try)."
He added, "Regarding the US Steel Buiding, ironically, the grandfather of a very close friend of mine was one of the original engineers- the bldg was built strong. Second, the brother of a partner of mine was an engineer that was immediately called to perform an inspection. While people were originally concerned, it was eventually cleared for occupancy- not creaking and ready to fall. I hope this brings some truth to that story. The second story will follow. FT"
"I Took the Whole Crew Right Down There"
Donald Trump addressed a gathering on Tuesday, September 8, at the White House. It was in honor of victims, their family members, and the brave first responders in conjunction with The Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Trump insisted that he allegedly brought a large group of workers to the Ground Zero site to assist in the recovery effort.
"I want to just thank my people. I took a lot of my — I was building a big building in New York and I took the whole crew right down there after this happened and they had no hesitation. Everyone went down with me," the president said. He added, "We went down as a big group of people. Wasn't too much we could do, I'll be honest. It was raw. Nobody's seen anything like it, ever."
The President Also Claims That Firemen Hurried Him to a Safe Location on 9/11
Also at Tuesday's event, Trump said that firemen hustled him out of a supposedly hazardous building in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. He reportedly told the throng, "The United States Steel building was creaking, really creaking, and we thought it was going to fall down because it creaked a lot. It creaked. It still creaks. But it never came down. I will never forget. Two firemen, we thought it was coming down on top of us and two firemen, big strong guys — and I'm not the smallest guy in the world — they grabbed me under the arms and said, 'Gotta get out of here,' and they literally lifted me up."
The allegedly "creaking" structure Trump referred to was reportedly One Liberty Plaza. It was formerly owned by U.S. steel, according to People. Citing The New York Times, People states that building was allegedly "not in danger of collapse."
People claims that neither the Trump Organization nor the White House had answered its request for substantiation of Trump's assertions.
