A veteran rock singer is making his triumphant return, dropping his first album in nearly 20 years... and old-school AC/DC fans will want to be on the lookout.

Dave Evans, who recorded the vocals for AC/DC's first singles "Can I Sit Next to You Girl" and "Baby, Please Don't Go," before he was replaced by legendary singer Bon Scott in 1974, just dropped a new track called "Loup Garou" on YouTube earlier this week. The tune, which is French for "werewolf" (very metal), is just a tease for a full-fledged album set to release on Oct. 2, called Justice.
Metal outlet Blabbermouth reports that Justice is the third of a trilogy of records. The other installments, which Evans recorded with his frequent collaborator Mark Tinson, are called Sinner (2001) and Judgement Day (2007).
Fans of AC/DC are in for a treat. Backed by Rose Tattoo guitarist Justin Ngariki, drummer Scott Johnson, and Heaven bassist Laurie Marlow, Tinson's crunchy guitar sounds straight out of vintage rock. Evans brings vocals gleefully bordering on a growl that are a perfect fit for the already-in-full-swing spooky season.
Of course, this track will be on a lot of rock fans' Halloween 2026 playlists.

Meanwhile, in the comments section, listeners were clearly stoked about the track and the upcoming album from the 73-year-old Welsh-born Australian singer.

According to the YouTube post, "Loup Garou" will be available on selected Streaming Platforms and on CD on Oct 2nd. Vinyl and Cassette versions of Justice are TBA.
Of course, AC/DC remains a staple in metal. Its current lineup includes Angus Young, singer Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd, bassist Cliff Williams, and guitarist Stevie Young.
