Morgan Wallen has opened up about a horrible scene that left fans confused and worried for the country star.
A viral video circulating online shows the country star greeting fans as he prepared to leave his show in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He jumped up to high-five a star-struck fan. But then, he seemed to slump to the ground, as their shouts of encouragement changed to screams of worry.
Security promptly thrust him back up and got him to hobble through the tunnel. Once there, the video shows him grimacing on the ground, mentioning a "pop", with the camera seemingly pointing to his ankle. He's quite literally grimacing and crying out in pain—it's not a nice sight, that's for sure.
But now, he's given an official word as to the crazy injury he's sustained. Per Whiskey Riff, he took to Instagram Stories to explain what happened.
"Michigan, if I appear somewhat hobbled tonight, it's because I am." It also shows a similar clip of the incident. But the real kicker is the freeze-frame he also shared—it shows his foot perpendicular to the rest of his leg.
It looks like a pretty bad case of a sprained ankle.

Despite the Injury, the Show Went On
The famous phrase "the show must go on" was honored here. Morgan Wallen, despite his injury, just... went on as normal, despite the injury. What a beast!
So normal, in fact, that he had his usual crazy guests. For the Big House show on night 2, he ended up bringing out two great US hockey players—the Hughes brothers.
Morgan Wallen also spoke up about how sad he was to see that the tour was ending. "It's a little bittersweet because we're getting to the end of this tour and kind of the end of this album's era, I guess you'd say," he explained.
"I ain't really sure exactly what I'm gonna do next, but I do know that I've been in the studio, been making a lot of music. I'm excited about it."
