Kacey Musgraves Blasted by Influencer for Not Having Better Range of Sizes in New Clothing Line

People love fashion, whether it's luxurious high-end or more casual and affordable. However, folks have their beefs about it from time to time. Country star Kacey Musgraves is finding that out. She has a new clothing line that dropped on Tuesday, May 19. Per People, Musgraves "collaborated with the brand Lee for a first-of-its-kind collection called "Kacey Lee" for Walmart...." However, the singer's new musts for your wardrobe have not been met with unequivocal acceptance. The line reportedly includes garments to sleep in, swim in, and accessories as well, but some plus-size consumers allegedly feel kind of left out.

One Influencer Took Musgraves to Task

Influencer Megan Ixim posted a video and lengthy message on Instagram criticizing the new collection. More specifically, she slammed what she believes is its lack of plus sizes. Ixim makes the point that the "Kacey Lee" line, which has approximately 100 items, is so large, it has a significant presence online rather than in Walmart's brick-and-mortar locations. Ixim also added in her message that "physical locations have limited display space and typically only carry a fraction of the line (primarily standard sizes and tops)."

Furthermore, Ixim mentioned, "Idk guys, I'm feeling really disappointed that again plus-size customers are not only NOT able to shop this collection in store, but the collection has very limited styles of extended sizes available online. And this collection is at @walmart a place with an entire plus-size section and dedicated plus-size shoppers."

Kacey Musgraves wrote back to Megan Ixim. She commented, "Hiii not in my control at all. Sorry you're disappointed. Hope this helps!"

"Your Plus-Size Fans...Want To Have Our Moment in the Sun Supporting You"

Megan Ixim continued the dialogue about "Kacey Lee" on Instagram. She reacted to Musgraves, seemingly feeling that the star could inject herself more and take additional action on this issue. Ixim wrote, "@spaceykacey. hey there. LOVE that you responded to a little ol influencer like me, but to say it's out of your control feels disingenuous."

She went on, "As the person who is the entire reason and face of this launch it feels like this would be something you could push back on to @walmart or to @leejeans your plus-size fans love you, and we want to have our moment in the sun supporting you, in store, just like everyone else. Us asking for better isn't a direct slight to you but a reason to work towards more true inclusivity in the future"

It's worth noting that a press release about the fashion line quoted by People "states that 'sizes vary across styles with select pieces available only online.'"
