Kacey Musgraves Shares Advice for Anyone Going Through a 'Dry Spell'

Kacey Musgraves is no stranger to a dry spell, and now, she's sharing her advice on how to successful navigate them

Dry spells, we've all been there. Sometimes, no matter what you try, you struggle to meet someone you just vibe with. The longer those spells last, the more hopeless we often become. Kacey Musgraves is no different, it would seem.

During a recent interview with MuchMusic, the Country star shared her advice for anyone navigating a dry period in their love life.

"Stay patient. Don't lower your standards. Don't get desperate," Musgraves advised. "You can have fun, but let's keep the standards high."

Musgraves' comments come hot on the heels of her recently released track "Dry Spell." The song is the lead single on her "Middle Of Nowhere" album, which was released on May 1.

Later on the album, Musgraves did hint that her own dry spell had been ended on the track "Mexico Honey."

"A beautiful song came out of it and the dry spell was ended. So if it can happen for me, it can happen for anyone," Musgraves said.

Well, if she's navigated those shallow waters and come out of the other end with her happiness intact, maybe we'd be smart to listen to her. After all, Musgraves is human just like the rest of us, and with that comes difficulty in dating and in love.

Kacey Musgraves Promoted Her Album in a Hilarious Way

Upon the release of "Middle Of Nowhere," Musgraves showcased her more quirky side. In a unique way of promoting her new album, she dressed up in an armadillo costume. The video, which was posted to her Instagram page, showed the Country star searching for the release in multiple stores.

Hilariously, the first store she visited, a Walmart, ended up with a staff member providing a humbling response.

"I don't recognize that name," the store worker replied when asked if the store had the new Kacey Musgraves album.

Kacey then went to a Barnes & Noble and also to a Target. Both stores had copies of her new album, which, of course, was to be expected but was wholesome nonetheless.

In a world where we're being sold to at every minute of the day, Musgraves found a way to cut through the noise. However, dressing up as an armadillo may have something to do with the dry spell she recently went through.
