Super Bowl Streaker Hit With Multiple Charges After Storming the Field

The man who streaked on the field during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl has reportedly been charged tresspassing and field invasion

If there was ever a time to show your whimsical side to the world, live at the Super Bowl would probably be the most brazen choice. However, that is exactly the moment one fan decided to throw caution to the wind. The man was seen streaking (fortunately, only topless) across the field during Sunday's Super Bowl clash between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

The moment of madness occurred during the fourth quarter. There was 12:54 left of the game, if we want to get precise. For the man in question, he's now facing criminal charges.

According to a spokesman for the Santa Clara Police Department, the topless man is now facing charges of trespassing (which is a misdemeanor) as well as field intrusion. Interestingly, TMZ reports that another trespasser was also hit with the same charge.

Nevertheless, a little bit of streaking wasn't going to ruin the fans' day. The Super Bowl provided some fantastic football, and its fair share of controversy (I'm looking at you, Bad Bunny). Although it's fair to say that, for those two men who decided it would be fun to invade the field, the next few weeks might not be as fun as their five seconds in the limelight. Criminal charges, however small, are never a welcome reality.

The Seattle Seahawks Dominated at the Super Bowl

Perhaps Drake Maye's shoulder injury was worse than first thought? Or maybe the moment was just too big for a young but impressive Patriots team. Whatever the reason, the Seahawks had their way all night long. New England's offensive line looked helpless. Maye threw multiple errant passes.

And, with each mistake from the Patriots, the Seahawks grew in both confidence and stature. Sunday's win gives the Seahawks their second Super Bowl victory. Their first came in 2014, when they downed the Denver Broncos 43-8.

Furthermore, the Seahawks win helped erase the memories of their loss to the Patriots back in 2015, when the Super Bowl bragging rights headed home to New England. Seattle has Kenneth Walker to thank for that. He ended the night with Super Bowl MVP honors following an impressive performance that saw him log 27 carries for 135 yards.

Big moments call for big players. Walker proved he can be one of those players, even with the streaking and everything else the Super Bowl brings.
