TMZ has reported that they've been informed he will not be wearing a dress, nor a gown, despite reports to the contrary.
"However, production sources tell TMZ ... he's not wearing a dress during the show -- though they wouldn't say what he is wearing," TMZ reported.
The news will be music (pun intended) to the NFL's ears. They've already been catching heat for selecting Bad Bunny for the halftime show. A growing number of football fans want to see country music back on the biggest sporting stage, especially due to the ties the two forms of entertainment have to one another.
And while Bad Bunny will undoubtedly draw some criticism for his performance, there shouldn't be any concern regarding his wardrobe choice. That is, at least as far as a dress or gown is concerned. There's still a chance he makes some head-turning fashion decisions, though. But, to be fair, that is unavoidable and happens with most artists who perform at halftime.
The NFL Has Announced a Three-Night Concert Ahead of the Super Bowl
Following the backlash over Bad Bunny's selection for the Super Bowl halftime show, the NFL announced a three-day concert leading up to the event. The concert will feature multiple country stars, with Chris Stapleton, Sting, and Sierra Farrell all set to perform at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, per Front Office Sports.
"The NFL is leaning heavily into music for Super Bowl week as the league cements itself as a cultural powerhouse," the report read. "Fans might not love this season's halftime show choice, but the move to bring country music back into the festivities should feel like a solid consolation prize."
So, regardless of what happens with Bad Bunny during halftime, country music fans in attendance can still get their fix of their favorite music. It's not a halftime show, but at least it's a step in the right direction. And who knows? Maybe the NFL will bow to the pressure and select a country act for 2027.
We can only hope.
