Back in 2003, Ozzy Osbourne took a nasty fall of a quad bike, severely damaging his back and neck. This was only made worse by a fall at his home in 2019. Since then, the aging rocker has been in a lot of pain, undergoing surgeries to keep him mobile.

Ozzy Osbourne has spoken about the extreme pain and brutal surgeries he has gone through in order to try to keep the pain to a minimum. As he approaches his final ever show at his hometown in Birmingham, he opens up about how close he was to never being able to perform again.
He was told in intensive care that if he didn't go ahead with an invasive surgery, he would be left paraplegic. Fearing for his own moment, and in huge amounts of pain, he agreed to it. However, in hindsight, he wishes he had waited.
The surgery left his spine in pieces. The two screws on the metal plate holding his spine in place came loose. This caused lesions and bone fragments to float around. Not long after the first initial surgery, a second was needed to repair the damage.
It was "the worst f***ing surgery you can imagine," he remembered. "I should have got a second opinion, but you think surgeons know what the f*** they're doing," Ozzy Osbourne told The Guardian. Sharon Osbourne looked back on the event, too, speaking of the problems caused by the terrible spine surgery.
"Five operations later, it just f***ed his body," Sharon said of Ozzy Osbourne and his surgery woes. "It was torturous for him: Parkinson's and damage to his spine. It's just been horrendous."
One Last Show For Ozzy Osbourne And It Comes With An All-Star Line-Up
Ozzy Osbourne is still a delight. The legendary rocker has some of the wildest stories I've ever heard, and they're just the ones he remembers. Ozzy, along with Black Sabbath, is considered one of the most influential metal bands of all time, and rightly so.
For his final show, Ozzy Osbourne is standing up against his surgery pains and putting on a performance at his hometown of Birmingham. It will mark the first time in two decades that the four members of Black Sabbath will share a stage. It'll most likely be the last, too.
The lineup is one for the ages, featuring Metallica, Guns 'N' Roses, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Tool, and members of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest, Van Halen, and Limp Bizkit. Due to his surgery and pain, Ozzy Osbourne may be less mobile, however, he's addressed people's health concerns.
"I may be sitting down, but the point is I'll be there, and I'll do the best I can," he said. "So all I can do is turn up." Keep on rocking, Ozzy.
