Kacey Musgraves, Lori McKenna and More Nominated for 2019 Americana Awards and Honors

The nominees for the 2019 Americana Awards and Honors were announced today (May 14). Singer-songwriter Lori McKenna leads the pack in nominations with three nods: one nomination for Album of the Year for her acclaimed 2018 album The Treea and two nominations in Song of the Year for "People Get Old" and "By Degrees," which she wrote with Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Anais Mitchell and Josh Ritter and Mark Erelli.

English singer-songwriter Yola earned two nominations: Album of the Year for Walk Through Fire and Emerging Act of the Year. Americana duo The War and Treaty also earned two nominations (Emerging Act of the Year and Duo/Group of the Year). Legendary singer-songwriter John Prine earned nods for Album of the Year for The Tree of Forgiveness and Song of the Year for "Summer's End."

Grammy-winner and ACM Album of the Year winner Kacey Musgraves was nominated for Artist of the Year.

The Americana Awards and Honors take place on Sept. 11 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium during AmericanaFest, an annual celebration of Americana music and artists. AmericanaFest runs from Sept. 10 through Sept. 15 in Nashville.
