Angaleena Presley Says the Pistol Annies Have Finished Their New Record

Fans of the Pistol Annies have another reason to rejoice this month as Angaleena Presley, also known as Holler Annie, stated that the powerhouse trio featuring herself, Ashley Monroe (Hippie Annie), and Miranda Lambert (Lonestar Annie), have already finished recording their new album.

"We just finished our third record. Two weeks ago [as of July 23]," Presley told The Boot. "So we don't really have a release date, per se, yet, but the record is there."

Presley's quote, along with several social media posts, and two recent onstage reunions proves that country music is in for another wave of Pistol Annies domination. The group's first two records, 2011's Hell on Heels and 2013's Annie Up, delighted audiences due to the personality of each member shining through in their songwriting and performances.

News of the new Pistol Annies album has been circulating for over a year. In 2017, after the gals reunited to record "Tulsa Time" for a Don Williams tribute album, Lambert told Billboard that a new music would come out in 2018. Then in May, she posted a playful photo on Instagram saying that they were working on new material.

Perhaps the most exciting hints of their return has been the live shows the group has surprised audiences with. The Pistol Annies first reunited during Lambert's Livin' Like Hippies Tour in March, and more recently, they joined her on stage during the Bandwagon Tour where Lambert is co-headlining with Little Big Town.

On July 19, the Pistol Annies shocked a New York audience, and two days later, they reformed in Massachusetts. Thankfully each of the Annies has a strong voice or else they would have been drowned out by the booming cheers and singing from their fans echoing some of their favorite songs.
