Pistol Annies Delight Crowds With Onstage Reunion In Kentucky and Ohio

The Pistol Annies reunited on stage in Lexington, Ky. and Cleveland, Ohio this weekend to perform their hits "Hell On Wheels" and "Takin' Pills" to elated crowds.

Ashely Monroe (nicknamed Hippie Annie) and Angaleena Presley (Holler Annie) joined Miranda Lambert (Lonestar Annie) onstage during two stops on her Livin' Like Hippies Tour. The trio effortlessly performed together as friends with a mutual respect for each other's talents. Hearing the crowd excitedly yelling each lyric along with the Annies is almost as fun as watching the three women dance and sing along to each other's parts.

While Lambert teased back in January that she was working on new Pistol Annies material in an Instagram post showing her creative songwriting set-up in the shower with the hashtag "maybepistolannies," there haven't been any concrete reports of a new record or tour.

Even though nothing is set in stone, the recent performances and Lambert's implications on social media and in an old interviews point to new music and perhaps a new tour on the horizon. So while fans might want new Pistol Annies material immediately, they'll have to be patient. Judging from the comradery and genuine joy seen in the above performances, it will be well worth it.
