H-E-B Becomes Largest Private Employer in Texas

H-E-B has announced that they surpassed 100,000 employers on their payroll on Wednesday, making the company the largest private employer in the state of Texas.

According to KVUE, this announcement lands the company as one of the largest privately held employers in Texas. It also ranks them as one of the largest employers overall in the United States.

H-E-B employs over 90,000 people across 332 locations in Texas. The company has also hired over 10,000 employees at 56 stores throughout Mexico.

Craig Boyan, president and COO said in a prepared statement that this is a huge milestone for their company.

"It takes great people to build a great company, and we look forward to providing even more Texans with meaningful career opportunities that bring experiences, growth and lifelong connections at H-E-B," Boyan says.

This isn't the first time the company has given back to the Texas community. A couple of months ago, CEO Charles Butt also surprised the state with a $100 million donation for educational purposes.
