However, a lesser-known fact is that Tucker Wetmore performed the halftime show for that same game. Wetmore is currently riding the wave of a successful career launch, having established back-to-back number one hits with his first two singles.
When speaking with 100.7 The Wolf, Top admitted that Wetmore likely had a more difficult spot.
"We did talk about that," Top said. "Out back, we had our little green room RV trailer. He had one half of it, and I had the other half. And we talked about that. I was like, 'Man, I don't envy your spot. I'm so excited to just get this thing over with.' And, exactly that, crush beers and enjoy the game with my buddies. He had to wait a little bit longer, but there was a lot of excitement in the second half. He got to enjoy a bunch of it, too."
Ultimately, both artists had a chance to sample some fine beer, watch some football, and reminisce over a job well done.
Zach Top Makes the Country Music He Loves
They say that if you create art that you love, you will eventually find others who love it too. Well, that appears to be Zach Top's approach to making music. During a recent spotlight from the Country Music Hall of Fame, Top admitted that he creates songs that he would like to listen to.
"I think the reason I love country, one, just 'cause my parents loved it. They always had it playing. George Strait, Alan Jackson, all that [Merle] Haggard, [George] Jones, good 'ol stuff, they had that playing around the house. That's the reason I think I probably loved it...I try to just make country music the way that I love it and the way that I grew up on it kind of," Top said.
Well, everyone certainly loved his performance at the NFC Championship Game, and judging by his recent success, the music he loves is getting everyone on board with him. 2026 could be a big year for the burgeoning country artist.
