Zac Brown Band traveled into new musical territory with their experimental album Jekyll + Hyde. Although the record found great success on the charts, some longtime fans found themselves wishing for the sound featured on their previous albums. According to Zac Brown himself, fans won’t have to wait much longer for a more classic country record.

In a video posted to the band’s Facebook page, Brown shared his thanks to those longtime listeners who have supported them through their career. Thank you so much for all your loyalty and all of the love you’ve given us over the years,” he says. “We’re going in this winter to make a brand new Zac Brown Band record, straight back to our roots, Foundation-style.”

Foundation was Zac Brown Band’s breakthrough 2008 album, which featured five highly-charting singles, including “Chicken Fried.” Although Jekyll + Hyde showed off the band’s ability to use EDM, rock, pop and blues smartly, it will be refreshing to see the band get back to what they’re best at.

“It’s going to be an amazing album, we’re very excited to announce to you that we’re making the new one,” Brown told his fans before signing off. “Thank you again for everything that you do for us.”
