Zac Brown, frontman of longtime country band Zac Brown Band, has split from his wife Kelly Yazdi after four months of marriage. TMZ revealed in late December that the still-new married couple is heading towards divorce.
Brown and Yazdi confirmed the news with a joint statement to the publication: "We are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains. We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time."
Brown married Yazdi, a 32-year-old actress and model, on August 31, 2023 in Coweta, County, Georgia. Yazdi was reportedly spotted with an engagement ring in July 2022. People confirmed in December of 2022 that Brown proposed in Hawaii earlier that year.
The two have kept their relationship private, but that didn't stop fans from realizing something was off when Yazdi recently deleted her Instagram account. When she returned to the platform, she removed Brown's name from her profile, stopped following him, and removed all traces of the country star from her account.
Neither party has addressed the divorce publicly on their social media pages. Yazdi, however, has posted since the news broke, sharing a 2023 recap video of memories not involving Brown.
Brown's marriage to Yazdi was the second time the singer has tied the knot. He was married to Shelly Brown for 12 years before splitting in October 2018. Brown and Shelly share five children together.
Zac Brown Band released a live covers album, From the Road, Vol. 1: Covers, in November. The band is set to join Kenny Chesney on his Sun Goes Down tour this summer.
