Rock Star Crowd-Surfs in a Wheelchair at Show After Breaking His Leg

Yungblud refused to let a broken leg stop him from performing, even crowd-surfing in a wheelchair during a festival show in Portugal.

Global rock star Yungblud is refusing to let a broken leg slow down his touring schedule. Far from it.

The 29-year-old recently revealed that he suffered the injury in a dirt bike accident at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.

Despite the setback, Yungblud turned up for his August 18 performance at Portugal's Vilar de Mouros Festival in a wheelchair and even crowd surfed during the show.

Yungblud Refuses to Let Broken Leg Stop Tour

In his latest Instagram post, Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, shared photos from the performance alongside the caption "Good way to break my leg."

One image showed Harrison posing with a cane and a cast on his leg alongside two women dressed as nurses.

Other photos captured the singer crowd surfing in his wheelchair, standing to perform on stage and spending time backstage.

Harrison later took to Instagram Stories to explain how the injury has complicated his already demanding touring schedule.

"I ain't allowed to fly, so it means I've had to bus my way from the U.K. to Portugal, and now I'm on my way from Portugal to f---ing Belgium for a gig on Friday night, which means I can't stop or I won't make the show," he said.

"So, I can't stay in hotels, but hygiene is very important, so I just pulled up at a f---ing truck stop in France, and let's see how this goes."

Yungblud Faces Grueling Journey Between Shows

Harrison documented his experience at the French truck stop, which included using an Ozzy Osbourne T-shirt to dry himself.

With flying currently off the table, the singer must travel between shows by bus, significantly increasing the amount of time he spends on the road.

His next performance is scheduled for Friday, August 21, at the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium.

Harrison initially opened up about his injury while on stage on August 9.

"I'm not gonna be able to hop around and f---ing shake my ass like I normally do," he told the crowd.

He then grabbed a bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey and said. "However, I'm gonna keep drinking this Jack."

It is not the first time an injury has forced Yungblud to adapt on stage.

In 2018, Harrison performed in a wheelchair at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas after fracturing his ankle the previous night.

Just last month, the rock star pulled out of Canada's Cowboys Music Festival and returned home to take some time away.

"I'm currently in a place where I'm working on myself and taking time off at home in the UK," he said at the time.

However, after returning to the road, even a broken leg has not been enough to keep Yungblud away from the stage.
