Acting these days is quite the ephemeral thing.
Of course, roles are everywhere if you have a keen eye - and if you have the status, of course.
But some want more from their lives than just the same old shows year after year. Well, 71-year-old Yellowstone star Kevin Costner is one of those people.
So, per People, he's made a pretty wild career pivot - he's moving into the beauty industry. He's collaborated with 19-69, a Milan fragrance house, and has released a "collection of scents".
He opened up about his decision to make the jump into the industry in a recent interview with GQ. Of course, the whole thing is quite unexpected - but the scents are unequivocally Costner.
Three scents stand out from his collection. "Pacific Coast Highway" is said to "remind Costner of Tommy James and the Shandell's 'Crystal Blue Persuasion' from 1968"; "Heritage" is "reminiscent of a place that's very masculine, carpets and wood and guns; forest-y feeling"; and "After Hours", which reminded him of "shooting his 1989 Vanity Fair cover".

"So, I was in a tuxedo but my tie was off and my jacket was on the couch," he recalled of his shoot. "It was supposed to be a sexy shot with a glass of whiskey." And he supposedly embodied that "sexy" feeling quite well - because, in his words, the scent "stopped a pregnant woman in her tracks".
"She walks all across the gym towards me, and I wasn't sure what this was going to be about. And she just turns to me and says, 'Look, I'm married, I'm not [trying to bother you], but what are you wearing?"
