The 2016 Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival is set to release its lineup on Feb. 1, one day at a time. The event returns to downtown Tyler, Texas for its third year on Saturday, May 14, and event organizers will reveal one band from the five-band lineup each day from February 1st until the headliner reveal on Feb. 5.
The lineup of the young but popular all-day event is sure to please the East Texas crowd. Randy Rogers Band headlined the inaugural show in 2014, and 2015’s lineup featured heavy hitters Josh Abbott Band, Stoney LaRue and Kyle Park, along with Uncle Lucius and The Bigsbys.
In addition to killer music, fans can expect some of the best BBQ Texas has to offer as vendors come in from all over the state to share their cuts. Every person who attends the festival with a “combo” ticket will get a chance to sample the meat from each of 18 different BBQ vendors. There are also VIP and “concert only” options available. Prices range from $25 to $90. Tickets go on sale Feb. 8 and — just like the past two years — are expected to sell out fast.
