In her filing, Takecia wrote that her and Uso's marriage is "irretrievably broken" and "there are no prospects for a reconciliation."

She added that the two "are presently living in a bona fide state of separation,"  according to court records viewed by The California Post on Monday.

Fatu and Uso -- whose real name is Joshua Samuel Fatu -- have been together since their teenage years.

Over the course of his famed WWE career, the couple has largely kept their relationship private.

The two have been married since Feb. 2014 and share two sons.

Their youngest son, Jeyce, was born in 2012 and is still a minor. They also have an older son who is over 18.

In the filing, Takecia requested primary physical custody of Jeyce and stated that she is open to joint legal custody with the WWE star. She also asked the court to grant her exclusive use of the couple's home in Georgia.

Uso called Takecia his "life partner" in a "WWE Chronicle" documentary about his life, which was released in 2020, according to Sports Illustrated.

"I have so much love and respect for her in my heart," Uso said in the doc. "She catches the good and the bad, all the hurt and grumpiness of this business and life. But she gets me ready for this. Every single week, and she has for the past 10 years. We've sacrificed together. All my success is her success, too. We've done this together."

Uso also detailed how his pursuit of in-ring greatness led to extensive time apart from his family.

"There isn't any other way to do it," said Uso. "This business is your life. A lot of the young homies who've come in recently, they treat this like they signed up for a job at Enterprise Car Rental. They'll see. This is a full-time grind. You need to put this before your family if you want it.

"This business will swallow you up. I missed 10 of my oldest son's birthdays; I missed six birthdays of my younger son. The hotel life, the airport life, that's where we live. I always thought this was physical, but I was wrong. It's a mental game. A lot of blood has been shed to get here."

Uso has not publicly commented on his wife's divorce filing.
