WWE Superstar Ludwig Kaiser has been arrested in Florida. He's been charged with misdemeanor battery, per the New York Post. Kaiser's arrest comes just a week before he's due to headline AAA Luch Libre's "Noche de los Grande" in Monterrey, Mexico. AAA is owned by WWE and works as a partnership company in Mexico.

Kaiser was set to face Chad Gable, where he will face off as El Grande Americano vs. Gable's "Original" El Grande Americano. The loser of the bout will have their mask removed and their identity revealed. WWE has been building this storyline for multiple months.
"He (Kaiser) appeared on the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, NC, on May 18, competing in a Trios Tornado match alongside Los Americanos, where they defeated Gable's "Original" El Grande Americano and Los Americanos Hermanos," The New York Post reported.
A $1,000 bond has been set for Kaiser, real name Marcel Barthel, and he's now been released from jail. There's still a chance he will be cleared to headline the AAA event. However, there is no information regarding that situation at present.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Kaiser's arrest followed an altercation with another man.
"The arrest is accurate," Sapp reported on X. "We're told the battery charge was against a male after an altercation. Not a domestic situation as some are speculating."
Ludwig Kaiser Needs To Shed the El Grande Americano Storyline
Before the WWE decided to cast Kaiser as El Grande Americano, he was part of Imperium with Gunther. Since that faction split, he hasn't been getting the same type of push from within the company. Despite his legal troubles, Kaiser is still a talented member of WWE's roster and could anchor the mid-card.
The quicker he sheds the current storyline and can get back to building his character, the better it will be for his career. Because, right now, Kaiser is stalled and El Grande Americano isn't the same draw it was a few months ago.
Hopefully, if Kaiser gets to headline the upcoming AAA event, he can finally shake loose of this story and get back to chasing a legacy.
