WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin went viral on social media after overturning his vehicle during an off-road race.

Austin, a three-time Royal Rumble winner, has apparently maintained his competitive spirit following his in-ring retirement and accepted a challenger's offer to race.
The WWE icon detailed the impromptu race, which ended with his vehicle overturned in a ditch, on his Steve Austin Broken Skull Racing Instagram page.

"Made a mistake on the course and knocked us out of the race on Saturday," the post, which was shared on Sunday, read. "Myself and co-driver @reddogschopshop are both 100 percent. The car took some pretty good damage. We are working on getting it ready for VC-Tonopah next race."
"@valleyoffroadracingassociation put on a great race, and we certainly left the chat too soon. Thanks to VORRA Recovery Jeff for the assist. We put the car back together good enough to drive back to the main pit on the back roads. We set out to finish every race. And my mistake cost us a finish. I have learned many things from it that I will take into future races."
Since retiring in 2003, Austin says he spends most of his time running an automotive shop, racing and spending time on his multi-acre ranch.
During his heyday, Austin was arguably the most popular WWE star and helped define the heralded "Attitude Era."
In the late 90s and early 2000s, the Texas native had feuds with The Rock, Kurt Angle, Booker T, The Undertaker and even the WWE founder Vince McMahon.
Affectionately known as the "Texas Rattlesnake," Stone Cold Steve Austin became a six-time WWE World Champion. His three Royal Rumble wins are the most in WWE history.
Austin was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009 and again in 2025 as the inaugural recipient of the "Immortal Moment" category.
Following his off-road dust-up, several WWE fans showed support in the comments.
"I wish there was a way to watch your races on TV. Looks like a good time. Glad you found something else you are passionate about outside of wrestling," a user wrote.
