WWE Hall of Famer is opening up about a devastating find. Jim Ross says doctors found a mass on his kidneys.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross opened up about his current health situation. Fortunately, it appears to be treatable.
"On Wednesday afternoon, I had my oncology appointment because they saw a mass on my kidneys — a kidney," he said. "And I got good news on that. The oncologist thinks I don't have any cancer, but they're not sure. There's a lump there. It may be cancerous, but it's so small they can operate on it and eliminate it. The last thing I want to do is get cancer surgery and then go back to the frigging hospital for a few days. This last (time) was eight days. So I got good news on that. I'm blessed there, thankful. That was a good deal.
"My doctor's meetings have been productive," he added. "I found out that I didn't have serious cancer on my kidney. And that was great news because I didn't hardly sleep a wink at night before that appointment. I was just overwhelmed with worry, you know? Because you're going to find out what the story is. And, man, I've had a lot of doctors appointments. I've had more doctors appointments in the last few months than I've ever had in my life. And I guess I should just count my blessings that all these other years, I've been healthy as a horse. But we're on it.
WWE Hall of Famer Needs Surgery
The WWE Hall of Famer recently had brain surgery. Doctors placed a shunt in his brain. He hopes to keep at his career for as long as possible.
"I hope that my ending, my career ending, is planned," Ross said. "And so I don't just show up one Wednesday night on 'Dynamite' and say, 'Well, I got some news for you folks, I'm done.' That might sound cool and edgy, but I would like to be able to know that I'm leaving. I think that's important for my psyche. And I don't know, maybe I'm looking at it wrongly, but in any event, that's where I'm thinking - just have a good, clean ending.
"I've had a blessed career," he added. "I've had a unique life, and I realize that it's coming to an end. I get it. If you ask me, 'JR, how much longer you think you're going to do announcing?' Well, I think my contract's up this month. So, I'm done pretty much. I don't want to be done, but if Tony Khan said, 'You know, JR, thanks for the efforts and thanks for being here' and all that stuff, then I'd have no problem with that. Because what else? How could I be such a greedy b----d and want more in my career than I've already received."
