Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price and More to Perform at Woodstock 50 Festival

The most famous music festival in American history celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and the milestone will be marked with Woodstock 50, a three-day music festival, which will take place on Aug. 16, Aug. 17 and Aug. 18 at Watkins Glen in upstate New York.

Among the country and Americana artists performing are Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price, Brandi Carlile, Anderson East, Liz Brasher, Jade Bird, Leon Bridges and Nathaniel Rateliff an the Night Sweats.

Dead & Company, Santana, The Black Keys, The Killers, Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, Dawes, John Fogerty, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters and more will also headline.

The original Woodstock festival was held in August of 1969 on a dairy farm in the Catskill Mountains in New York. Billed as "three days of peace and music," the festival was headlined by artists such as the Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, The Band and Jimi Hendrix.
