Great Manchester Police published a press release on January 31 on their official website explaining what happened. The 22-year-old woman, who police have not named, allegedly replied to her own picture on a GMP social media account with a cheeky 'Hey Guys.' The GMP has posted an image of the message and has blurred out the photo and name.
Authorities reportedly wanted the woman on suspicion of failing to appear in court for three counts of assault of an emergency worker, drug offenses, and theft. Ultimately, police tracked the 22-year-old to a property on Platt Lane in Fallowfield, Manchester.
When officers arrived at the residence, they searched the building for the suspect. They found her trying to hide under a pile of toys on the floor.
When they found her, the GMP explains that authorities added an arrest on suspicion of assaulting a police officer to the list of charges.
Footage Of The Arrest Was Caught On A Police Bodycam
The GMP even shared bodycam footage of them finding the woman on their social media profile on X. It's almost a decent hiding place if it weren't for her exposed leggings!
