Woman Sues Disney World After Claiming Water Park Wave Permanently Scarred Her

An American woman is doing the most American thing of all time and attempting to sue Disney World for being hit by a wave in a wave pool.

Despite being in an area of Disney World called the Typhoon Lagoon, which is an area specifically designed to create waves, the woman is claiming that being knocked over by one is worthy of claiming $2 million. She's the reason bags of peanuts need 'may contain nuts' written on them.

According to her lawsuit, she was 'pummelled' by the waves. They dragged her along the concrete floor, resulting in permanent scars. The pictures she snapped from the event show slight grazing on her legs. However, she claims that she is now "scarred and self-conscious" and "keeps her legs covered and must tolerate being hot and uncomfortable as a result." The words of her lawyer husband are deafeningly loud here.

The area where Kimberly Panetta was so brutally assaulted by water is known as Typhoon Lagoon in Disney World. It is a swimming area in which waves can reach six feet in the deeper areas. They are preceded by an alarm and occur every 110 seconds. They diminish toward the shallow area and leave plenty of time to leave the area.

Thousands of people use the pools every week and don't seem to end up with permanent scarring. But Kimberly Panetta is trying her luck at a payout for her grazes nonetheless. She needs to fund next year's trip to Disney World, and tickets aren't getting any cheaper.

Blood, Pummelling, And Life-Changing Scars At The Happiest Place On Earth

She has certainly painted a harrowing picture of her traumatic time in the kids' pool of Disney World. Her lawsuit makes it sound like a trip straight out of hell. According to the court notes, she was "hit from the side with such force, it pummeled her and her body... causing serious scrapes that were severe and deep."

No doubt her children will be deeply traumatised too. As she resurfaced, it appeared to be a scene straight from Jaws. "They were mortified, they just could not believe my legs and of course, when they saw blood pouring out of their mother, their eyes were like saucers," they state.

She's going to try and squeeze as much money as she can from Disney World. I'm no fan of an ugly, greedy company like Disney World, but the suing culture is worse.
