You know that phrase we are all taught when we are younger? "Sharing is caring?" Seems true right? Well multiple companies got the hint and created rideshare organizations. Companies like Uber and Lyft took over the space and prioritized transportation on demand. Sometimes you could even take things a step further and share your Uber or Lyft with another passenger. You know, cut down on emissions, save the planet and all that. Well, I guess one woman was not in the sharing spirit, or she just had a deep-rooted vendetta. Rather than have a peaceful ride, this woman runs over her rideshare driver and kills him.

Woman Runs Over Rideshare Driver, Results In His Death
KGUN 9 reported that 74-year-old Samuel Webster died from injuries he sustained during a rideshare. However, this was no typically automobile accident. Instead, this appeared to be murder. Local Phoenix police shared that they found a vehicle stopped near a canal around 5 p.m. near "40th Street and Baseline Road."
Additionally, Webster's body was found on the ground near the vehicle, and things did not look good. The news outlet shared that his body had "obvious signs of trauma." Witnesses revealed how the man suffered those signs of trauma.
According to witnesses, Webster had been giving a ride to a woman. That woman was later identified as 31-year-old Jordan Spalding. Webster, a rideshare driver, had given Spalding a ride. At some point during their ride, the two had an altercation.
That is when witnesses saw the car stop near the canal and both Webster and Spalding got out of the vehicle. Then, the woman runs over her rideshare driver multiple times. Police arrested Spalding and she is facing second-degree murder charges. However the incident is still under investigation. Add this to the new list of fears I have about using ridesharing apps.
