Honestly, I don't know a single person who isn't uncomfortable when turbulence hits on a plane. Personally, every time I feel it I am convinced we are going to crash. I thought it was just me who felt this way, but apparently this woman felt the same way. She was wholeheartedly convinced her plane was going down, especially after the flight crew handed her this odd item.

Odd Item Makes Woman Confused

A woman shared her flight experience on TikTok. The video starts of with a flight attendant handing her a fake tea-light candle. After glancing around, the woman noticed that all of the passengers had been given the same candles. "Okay," she murmured to herself as she started doing the sign of the cross.
"Amen," she said as she finished her prayer. Then she asked aloud, "Are we dying?" It started off as a joke. Something to incite laughs at the confusion she felt over the odd item given to her and the other passengers. She took out her safety card from her seat back pocket and began reviewing the information.
The note over the video read, "Then I began to joke and mess about," proving that up until now she was faking her anxiety. However, once the turbulence started, this woman truly began to believe that her plane was going down.
Turbulence Makes Woman Believe Her Plane Is Going Down
Now the woman is trying to connect the dots. She is equating the candles to the turbulence, somehow fearing that they are related. Now, the note over her video read "I was now convinced that they gave us candles because they knew we would crash." She was fully convinced that this odd item meant the plane was going down.
Due to a muffled announcement and a language barrier, she also could not understand any of the messages that the captain was delivering. Which just made the situation all the more terrifying. Now, she began to pray for real. However, eventually the plane did land safely on the ground, even if it was a bit bumpy.
After she was safely off of the plane she discovered the reasoning behind the odd item. She wrote, "Turns out the candles were a Christmas gift from the plane company." So glad to see that this story had a happy ending.
