According to WGN, Chelsea Adolphus was found unresponsive on the roof of Vista Medical Center East, which is located on North Sheridan Road. She was later transferred to the emergency room. There, she was treated for approximately 14 hours before she was finally pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m.

According to NBC5, an autopsy was conducted on Friday. However, the results of the autopsy or an official cause of death have not been released at the moment. Patch.com reported that the Lake County Coroner's Office will not disclose any information until next week. "Any further details will be released at the joint conference likely Monday," Lake County Coroner's Office Chief Deputy Coroner Stephen Newton said.

Said joint conference is to be conducted by both the coroner's office and the Waukegan Police Department. Both are currently investigating the death of Chelsea Adolphus.

Family Wants Answers

Many details have confused the already grief-stricken family of Adolphus. According to WGN, Paul Adolphus, Chelsea's brother, hospital staff members gave him three conflicting stories explaining what had happened. It was only after he met with hospital officials that he finally understood clearly what transpired.

"Confirmed to me that my sister's body was on the roof and that she slept on their roof," Paul told the outlet. "It's not fair that my sister's life was in their hands. She came here because she trusted Waukegan Vista Hospital, that she was going to be better from rehab from drinking."

Perhaps one of the most daunting details of Adolphus' death is how she was able to leave her room, with Paul criticizing the hospital's security measures.

"Doors should be locked. Doors should be very secured," Paul continued. "It doesn't make no sense why my sister would want to escape the facility."

Currently, Paul and the Adolphus family are considering legal action over Chelsea's death. Paul, understandably grieving over his sister's death, had some loving words for Chelsea Adolphus.

"I love you sister. I love you with all my heart. There's no way it will go like this," Paul concluded.
