A man has been apprehended after working as an unlicensed plastic surgeon. He took on a client and, due to his lack of training, has left her permanently disfigured. This comes just weeks after another man was also arrested for working as an unlicensed plastic surgeon in the same facility.
The woman found New World Medical & Mystic Cosmetic on Facebook. She got in contact with them and arranged to visit their Miami surgery from Orlando. The woman had booked herself to receive breast augmentation.
She believed that 58-year-old Manuel Jose Lazzaro was a licensed surgical assistant. However, there are no records of his name on the Florida medical database. He has been arrested and charged with unlicensed health care, causing serious bodily injury, according to NBC 6 South Florida.
Fake Plastic Surgeon Caused Damage To Woman's Breasts
The unlicensed plastic surgeon left the woman with infected breasts after her botched surgery. Rather than admit his mistake and advise her to visit a doctor, he advised against it. Perhaps he was worried his lack of license would be found out. He clearly didn't want people asking questions.
So, the woman didn't end up visiting a legitimate doctor and, as a result, suffered the loss of a nipple. This irreparable damage was caused by the infection and lack of post-surgery care by the fake plastic surgeon.
Manuel Jose Lazzaro has been forbidden from performing any more surgeries. He is being held on a $100,000 bail. Despite his current charges, his social media site for his face surgery is still live. However, it is currently private.
There are more than 2,300 followers. It's important to remember that if you're thinking of getting plastic surgery, simply don't do it; age gracefully. If you have to, though, ensure you check all the credentials of your plastic surgeon against official records. Don't be fooled by the cheaper option.
