A woman from South Carolina carried a Lotto Ticket around for days, not realizing it was worth a small fortune.

According to a report by People, the woman's husband bought a 'Big Wins Extra Play' lotto ticket. She took the card from her husband and reportedly left it in her purse for "several days." When the woman finally got around to scratching the card, she realized she had won a cool $200,000. The couple plans to go on a few holidays with their winnings.
People explain that the husband bought the scratchcard from a convenience store in Blythewood. With this winning ticket off the market, two remain with 1 in 780,000 odds for the top prize.
The wife reportedly joked with officials that the next time her husband buys a ticket, he'll buy two. The winning ticket also netted the store a $2000 commission.
There Have Been Several Lucky Lotto Winners This Year

He reportedly never intended to play but kept the ticket after a mix-up at a Speedway in Paw Paw. The man kept the ticket by his bedside and went to sleep. When his wife scanned the code, the couple realized they were $1 million richer.
The couple allegedly took extreme measures to keep the winning ticket safe and hid it in a jar in the backyard, which they then buried. Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli said that it's not unusual for winners to hide their tickets, but the method used by this anonymous couple was a first.
I guess the moral of the story is that if the clerk gives you the wrong Lotto ticket, just roll with it.
