Following the tragic shooting at Abundant Life Christian School, authorities have revealed that Natalie "Samantha" Rupnow was in contact with Alexander Paffendorf, a 20-year-old in California. Both of them were allegedly planning a coordinated attack, with Paffendorf planning to attack a government building in California, according to authorities.

Several outlets got hold of an emergency restraining order from the Carlsbad Police Department. In it, it mentions that Paffendorf had communicated with Rupnow to attack an unidentified California government building while Rupnow attacked Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin.
"During an FBI interview, Paffendorf admitted to the FBI agents that he told Rupnow that he would arm himself with explosives and a gun and that he would target a government building," reads the restraining order. According to the New York Post, a San Diego judge approved the order on Tuesday, December 17. This restraining order required Paffendorf to turn over his guns and ammunition within 48 hours.
A Creepy Individual
Several people have spoken with outlets, detailing Paffendorf's behavior. One of these is an anonymous neighbor who spoke with TMZ, stating that Alexander Paffendorf gave a "very creepy vibe." "I don't think I ever heard him speak a word and I lived next door for five or six years. Always wear a hood on, doesn't make eye contact. Gives off a very creepy vibe," the neighbor told the outlet.
"Just the way he would just walk around like super close right behind me when I go down the stairs and not say a word at all. Just very disconnected in his own world," the neighbor continued. She would then say that Paffendorf stayed at home "pretty much all day, every day," and that he never brought a friend over. "Honestly, never saw him outside doing anything besides going in the car with his parents. Other than that, nothing at all," the neighbor said.
Alex Gallegos, a Carlsbad resident, talked with NBC Philadelphia, detailing how police arrived at Paffendrof's home. However, Gallegos shares the same impression of Paffendorf that the TMZ neighbor expressed. "I've only seen him a few times," Gallegos told NBC. "He's real quiet, just seen him walk to his car and back, said hello, that's about it."
