This Texas Burger Joint Invites Guests to Eat in a Retro Airstream Trailer

Don your poodle skirt and slick back your hair as you enter the 1950s at Willy Burger in Beaumont, Texas. Serving up fresh-to-order hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream milkshakes, and crispy onion rings, Willy Burger invites you to dine in its refurbished Airstream trailer. It's the best way to enjoy a yummy cheeseburger at this Texas burger joint.

What is Willy Burger?

Known for its freshly ground hamburgers, Willy Burger operates two locations: one in Beaumont, Texas, and another in Katy, Texas, right outside of Houston. The airstream is located at the Beaumont location while the Katy location is built like a traditional diner.

Like its name, Willy Burger is known for its special burgers. With eleven different options, you can't go wrong. Some of our favorites include the Hee Haw Burger which features homemade pimento cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, red pepper jelly, and a fried green tomato served on top of a freshly made hamburger.

Another is the Kung Fu Burger which comes with Asian slaw, bacon, sliced jalapeno peppers, pepper jack cheese, and a squirt of Sriracha mayo. Feeling like something that'll knock your socks off? Try the Booty Burger topped with fried boudin, melted cheddar cheese, creole mustard, fresh lettuce, and tomato. Add on grilled onions and jalapenos for that extra kick!

Along with beef burgers, Willy Burger also serves up a mean Portobello Mushroom burger. Try it with a side of sweet potato fries or Willy's famous parmesan garlic fries.

Don't just take our word for it, there are numerous Yelp reviews that share how great Willy Burger is.

Not sure why my review from 6 years ago is missing but it is! This is my second time here and the second time we've sat in the airstream.
The first time it was delicious and now again many years later...just as delicious.
They were extremely busy (like last time) there was four of us 6 years ago and 7 of us today. June 16, Father's Day
The tables at the front AND back of airstream wobble bad (need fixing) kinda tacky.
There was a squished dead roach on the stairs leading into airstream...another kinda tacky and gross thing.
(it's all in the details sometimes and easily remedied)
THAT kind of stuff needs to be picked up immediately so customers don't see it. Don't ya think?!!

The burgers were fantastic...huge and fresh. The onion rings were thick and crunchy, but the Parmesan fries....meh, not worth it. Cheese should of been melted or fries hotter but, this was just literally Parmesan sprinkled on ...cheese did not adhere to fries sooo...yeah.

The lady taking the orders...was hustling and did it very well (older black lady...didn't catch her name) but, she was efficient and polite. And when she wasn't busy she was doing trash and cleaning tables. Kudos!

The American Diner

If there's one decade that highly influenced the restaurant scene, it was the 1950s. Families were booming, new technology was invented every single day, and grabbing a burger and a milkshake at the lunch counter of your neighborhood drug store was a weekly occurrence. It's one of the only decades we celebrate today in regards to themed restaurants (Can you think of any '70s themed restaurants?).
